Technology is moving at an incredibly fast pace. These days, just when we get used to one thing, something newer, better, faster, and easier comes along. At the heart of all this innovation and technological advancements is a single goal- to make our lives better through the use of technology.
The issue we encounter though, is that all of this technology builds on each other. So, if you don’t keep up with it, it will be impossible to be able to use all these new innovations to their full potential. It would be like trying to write in cursive if you haven’t even learned your A B C’s.
That’s why training is so important. By keeping up with at least a basic level of understanding of the programs and software that are important to your job and your industry, you will really be able to use technology the way it was meant to be used.
I don’t know about all of you, but there are times when I find the complexity of certain computer programs overwhelming. Let’s not even talk about something like Adobe In-Design, I doubt I’m using Microsoft Word to it’s full potential- and that’s a program I use on a daily basis. The truth is that these programs have a lot of different layers to them, and they are being constantly upgraded to embrace more and more features so that they can help us work better and faster.
But, keeping up with them is really difficult. Let’s be honest- who has the time to sit there and read through the “help” section? Have you ever actually looked at that section? Because I have, and it is really long. The problem is though, we know we can’t neglect our training.
That’s one of the reasons that Network Depot decided this year to hold a training session every month. We are going to cover a variety of topics, focusing on the programs that you use every day. Some examples are programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Skype.
The point of these training sessions is really quite simple- we want to help you make your business better. By learning how to use these programs to their full potential, you are going to be able to use them to increase efficiency in your company. That’s also why these training sessions are completely free. Our goal here is simple- we just want to help you.
So if you are interested in attending any of these sessions, just check out our new Events Calendar on our website. We have training sessions scheduled out months in advance. And, if there is ever a topic you would like to see on the calendar, just let us know!
